Painting Southern California-The Beach

This was a glorious day at the beach a few weeks ago. Jack and I, the artist and the assistant, sat side by side, under an SPF 50 umbrella compliments of Alex and Andy and painted. We both looked at the ocean, slightly different perspectives. Concepts of light and dark, distance perspective as seen in brush strokes, and atmospheric perspective were all explored. Over all it was a perfect day for so many things…the beach, painting, sharing time with loved ones, happiness and fun! A lot of FUN!
